Propane Handling
Upon completion, participants will be able to recognize and evaluate the hazards associated with propane. They will also be able to safely connect, disconnect, and activate propane equipment up to 400,000 Btu/h. Topics include:
- Hazard recognition and evaluation
- Legislative requirements and safe practices
- Connection, activation, and disconnection of propane equipment
The program includes hands-on training outdoors and classroom performance reviews. A certificate will be issued to those who successfully complete the performance review. This course is limited to 10 people per session.

Chainsaw Clinic
Designed to give the ‘weekend warrior’ an overview of proper chainsaw operation. Although created with a Stihl ‘flavor’, it is generic enough to benefit any brand user. This 2-hour course will provide the following:
- Understanding of chain types, specifications, sharpening procedures
- knowledge of chain / bar / sprocket care (and wear)
- Fuel /oil mixture and storage tips
- Basic chainsaw maintenance
- Safe operation of a chainsaw and explanation of apparel to wear while cutting
- Tree cutting / felling techniques
This course is limited to 12 people / session and is a very interactive clinic.
